my salamander makes playful, intricate art-pop. They approach composing with a strong commitment to mutualism—finding alternative pathways that highlight their diverse artistic skillsets. Collectively, they craft a kaleidoscopic sound authentic to each of them and larger than any of them.
my salamander met as students at the University of Michigan and have collaborated on a queercore punk-rock album. They continue to perform in bars, concert halls, churches, abandoned paper mills, and fertile marshes, bringing their “first-class musical chops” (A2 Pulp) to every performance .
